How to Prep for Your Facial

A great facial starts before you even arrive. A little preparation helps your skin respond beautifully and lets you get the most from your treatment.

A few days before

  • Pause strong actives. Stop using retinoids, strong exfoliating acids and harsh scrubs two to three days before your facial to avoid sensitivity.
  • Stay hydrated. Drinking plenty of water in the days leading up helps your skin look plump and healthy.
  • Avoid sunburn. Try not to get too much sun right before - sunburned skin is not a good candidate for many treatments.

On the day

  • Come with clean skin if you can, or arrive a little early so we can cleanse for you.
  • Skip heavy makeup. It is easier on your skin and saves time at the start of your treatment.
  • Mention any concerns. Tell your esthetician about breakouts, sensitivities, allergies or recent treatments so we can tailor everything to you.

After your facial

Keep it gentle for a day or two: wear sunscreen, avoid heavy exfoliation, and let your skin enjoy its post-facial glow. Most of our organic facials are available as a series for even better long-term results.
